Hello Parents,

     Just a note to let you know what the students are doing in class for the next week to ten days. We are expanding our vocabulary and taking a vocab test @ every 7-10 days. We will have a vocab test this Wednesday, 11-15 and the unit test on this

Friday, 11-17.  We will have one more vocabulary unit in December.

We are also learning the elements of grammar, nouns, proper nouns,

verbs, adjectives, etc. This week we are covering present and past participles of verbs.

In Literature class we beginning  with our study of a novel. The students will read for 15 minutes in class, write about what they read, and then discuss their reading with a small group of other students and myself.

Your child should study @15 minutes or more  several nights per week to keep their grades up. Please contact me if you have any other concerns.

We might have gotten off to a slow start but things are moving right along now.

The second quarter ends with Christmas break. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving break!
