Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
How can we best accomplish what God has in mind for us? How can we best use the gifts and talents of the people who are part of this parish? These are important questions, and we’ve been wrestling with them for quite some time at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta.
For the past couple of years we have held Town Hall Meetings at BTC in an effort to share information with you and to solicit your input. In the months since our last Town Hall Meeting, the Parish Council and other leadership groups have reviewed and reflected on your feedback. The fruits of their reflection will be shared with you in the coming weeks.
Another step in this journey is your participation in a unique survey and feedback process endorsed by the Parish Council. To this end, in the coming weeks we will be conducting the Gallup ME25™ survey, a census of all adult members of our congregation. The ME25™ will give you the opportunity to share your opinions on some of the critical areas of parish life.
The survey will be administered by Gallup, an independent research company known for its understanding of people and their opinions. Although most of us know them for their polling work, they have been listening to people and studying successful organizations for more than 40 years. With this they bring a seasoned capability to assist us in our effort to gather and understand all of the opinions throughout our parish.
Your opinions will be completely confidential; Gallup will not reveal any individual responses to anyone. After we've received the results back from Gallup, we will use them to start a dialogue about our parish and how we can be more effective at accomplishing our mission. We all have a stake in the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
The success of this effort hinges on the completion of the survey by each one of us who is at least 18 years of age. To this end, we all share equally in reaching the goal of 100% participation by our parish. Your opinions need to be heard.
This is an exciting time for our parish—we are taking important steps to fulfill God’s purpose for us both now and in the years to come. The process and subsequent dialogue will help us all in that effort.
