More than 225 people from 11 parishes and 10 schools in the Northeast County Deanery gathered at Trinity Catholic High School on February 6th and 7th to share their vision for Catholic Education and respond to the challenges of declining enrollment and stretched budgets. Prayer for the Success of Our Deanery's Excellence in Education Initiative
Gracious God,
You are the great giver of gifts. We come today with arms outstretched asking you to give us what we need to do the work for the Church in the Northeast Deanery. Give us the gift of wisdom to discover our gits and use them for the good of all. Give us the gift of understanding to listena nd heart hte dreams of those around us. Give us the gift of counsel to seek the advise of the learned around us. Give us the gift of fortitude that we may persevere in the task that is before us. Give us the gift of knowledge that we may design a plan for the future that is rich in the heritage of the Church's mission in education. Give us the gift of piety that hte deep sense of Your presense guides our actions. Give us the gift of reverence that love permeates our thoughts, words and actions as we live out our destiny of Catholic Education in the Northeast Deanery.
God grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, courage to change the things we can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
